Stuck in the bunker?

In this weeks Bogey Blog our resident Pro, Josh Oddy, is going to give you some simple tips to help you get out the sand

The best advice for bunkers is to avoid them altogether... however as amateur golfers it's inevitable that we are going to find them with some of our wayward shots! And what you don't want is to get stuck in them, shovelling away at the ball, before picking it up and walking off the course 😅
Follow these simple tips to get you out of the sand first time, every time:
1. Picture a £5 note - a great feeling to have this around the ball as it’s a good surface area to splash the ball out.
2. Hands lower - gets you lower to ground to help with elevation.
3. Open face - launches ball higher.
4. Shuffle feet - to judge the depth of the sand, is there a lot of sand or barely anything? This can decide how much speed you put into the swing.
Give them a try next time you're out playing
